Gail Gieseke, DVM
Dr. Gieseke was awarded her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991. Her special interests are senior wellness care, dentistry and surgery. Dr. Gieseke lives in rural Waconia with her husband, Mike and two sons in college. The family pets include: Penny, a Golden Retriever; Bella, a Bernese Mountain Dog; Bob, a domestic medium hair cat; Thor, a Maine Coon cat; a leopard gecko lizard; and three horses, Amir, Bambi, and Annie.
Dr. Gieseke’s hobbies include travel, canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA), and being a serious Gopher fan!
Jody Elsen, DVM
Dr. Elsen has an undergraduate B.S. from the College of St. Thomas and received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991. She says: “I made the decision in first grade that veterinary medicine was for me. I grew up in a rural country town and was always surrounded by pets. Initially it was the animals that attracted me – but with time it became clear that the owners and the relationships that I formed with them were equally important and rewarding. The wonderful relationships and bonding that are formed between the pets, their owners, and me are the most rewarding part my job!” Dr. Elsen’s areas of interest include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and especially dentistry.
Dr. Elsen grew up in the Hamel/Wayzata area and has been a resident of Chaska since 1993. Dr. Elsen’s family includes a wonderful husband, and two daughters. The household also includes two Golden Retrievers, Jake and Norman; two cats, Eyeball and Iris; 2 Bearded Dragons, Saphire and George; one rat, Katie; and 2 aquatic frogs, Pumba and Timone. Dr. Elsen’s hobbies include gardening, scrap booking, making jewelry, and spending time with her family.
Jennifer Weinberger, DVM
Dr. Weinberger received her undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Cloud State University. She received her DVM degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2001. She enjoys dermatology, preventative medicine and education, and getting new puppies and kitties started on the right paw!
Dr. Weinberger’s family includes her husband, son and daughter. Dr. Weinberger also has a dog Indy who is a Shih-Tzu Poodle, and two cats Cami and Carl. During her free time Dr. Weinberger enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks, and taking trips to the North Shore.
Erika Nordgren, DVM
Dr. Nordgren received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota. She then continued her education at the U of M, and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Her special interests include preventative medicine, dermatology, and caring for senior pets.
Dr. Nordgren grew up in Minneapolis, and recently purchased a house in Eden Prairie. She enjoys spending time with her 5 "kids". She has 3 black cats: Linus (the dignified one), Midge (who thinks she's a dog) and Izzy (who's sassy and unpredictable). She also has 2 adopted dogs: a Chihuahua named Millie who's a nervous wreck but will do anything for treats; and Dewey, a senior golden retriever whose laid back personality keeps the household in balance. On her days off Dr. Nordgren enjoys reading, home repair projects and outdoor adventures.
